Naming and  Welcoming Ceremonies

Naming and Welcoming Ceremonies are a great way to either celebrate the arrival or for a number of children into the family!  Or create the perfect celebration for an adult choosing to formalise the change of his or her name.

When the name of your child(ren) is chosen and announced, or you are formalising a change in name, this is a great opportunity  to acknowledge this  wonderful celebration in Style.  It  can also be the perfect moment for your family and friends to pledge a commitment to the importance of their role within the family unit.

 

My commitment to you

 

  • The Ceremony will reflect your family's beliefs.  You will always have complete control over every aspect of your Naming or Welcoming Ceremony.
     

  • I will offer professional advice on all aspects of your Ceremony, and if required, I will assist you both to create a ceremony that is meaningful, special and unique.
     

  • I will give you the opportunity to get to know me,  and confirm straight away my availability to conduct the ceremony.  In accepting my services a non-refundable payment of $150.00 will be required to secure the time/date. 
    The fee structure will be presented to you at your first appointment.
     

  • I will conduct the ceremony in a professional and dignified manner.
     

  • I will dress in a manner that is appropriate for the occasion.
     

  • After the ceremony I will seek your feedback.

 

Requirements and Further Reading

 
  • The appointment of mentors, godparents or foster/step-parent(s).
     
  • Readings of poetry or a prayer/ religious reading can be included if desired.
     
  • Promises to the child/adult by those who have undertaken special responsibilities.
     
  • Possible traditions which pay homage to the child’s and family’s heritage.
     
  • Possible presentation of gifts to the child/Adult.
